Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Bethany Hanson of Fullerton (92833) has been selected for a year-end award by the Liberty League for her outstanding effort throughout the women's soccer season.

A junior center back named All-Liberty League First Team, Hanson played in 18 games this season, starting 17. She led a back line that posted a school-record 12 clean sheets and allowed an average of 4.85 shots on goal per game. Offensively, she recorded a goal and an assist for three points, while logging 78.7 minutes per match. In 55 career games at RPI (29 starts), Hanson has one goal and four assists for six points. She has recorded 11 shots, including two on goal.

The Engineers finished the season with the third most wins in school history, going 14-5-1, with a 5-3-0 mark in Liberty League play. They defeated Vassar, 1-0, in the Liberty League Semifinals, advancing to the first league title game in school history, where they fell to No. 1 William Smith.

The seven all-league selections are the most in school history, surpassing the 2012 team, which placed six on the three teams.
