Erin Goodwin of RPI Lacrosse Earns Year-End Award

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Erin Goodwin of Berlin 06037 has been selected to the Liberty League for an outstanding season in lacrosse.

A sophomore defender who was named All-Liberty League Honorable Mention, Goodwin started all 15 games for Rensselaer this season, scoring four goals and adding an assist for five points. Notching nine shots, including seven on goal, she had 29 ground balls and a team-best 14 caused turnovers. She was also fourth on the Engineers with 12 draw controls. In nine Liberty League games, Goodwin had one goal for one point on five shots (3 on goal). A graduate of Berlin High School, she paced RPI in conference ground balls (24) and caused turnovers (13), while recording eight draws. Goodwin has played in all 30 games through two years at RPI, scoring four goals and assisting on two more for six points. She has nine shots (7 on target) with 50 ground balls, 27 caused turnovers and 16 draw controls.

The Engineers went 6-9 this season, including a 4-5 mark in Liberty League play.
