2017 Feb 16

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Jaime Lord of Stony Point 10980 has earned All-Academic recognition by the The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Earning individual All-Academic recognition was Lord. To earn that distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and finish in the top 25 percent at their respective regional. The junior was a National All-America after finishing 19th at the NCAA Meet with a 21:05.8. She preceded that with a third place finish at the Atlantic Regional, crossing in 20:46.4. Lord was All-Region and All-Liberty League First Team, while also capturing the conference's Runner of the Year award. She is an aeronautical engineering major.

Founded in 1824, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is America's oldest technological research university. For nearly two centuries, the Institute has been a driving force behind breakthroughs in engineering and science in virtually every arena-from transportation and infrastructure to business, medicine, outer space, and cyberspace.

As it approaches its bicentennial anniversary, the Institute continues to define The New Polytechnic, a new paradigm for teaching, learning, and research that uses advanced technologies to enable fresh collaborations across disciplines, sectors, and regions, in order to answer the global challenges of our day.
