Jessica Kugelman Earns Liberty League Weeky Honor

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Jessica Kugelman of Tappan 10983 has earned a weekly award from the Liberty League.

In Friday's meet against Union, Kugelman swept the diving events with new school and pool records in both events. The sophomore's 305.20 in the 3 meter dive, a season-high, was her second regional cut of the year. In addition, her 1 meter dive score of 279.75, was also a regional cut. Kugelman concluded the weekend with two third place finishes at the Kumpf Invitational. The Tappan, N.Y., native hit a second regional cut in the 3 meter dive with a score of 271.60 while registering a 247.75 in the 1 mt. This is Kugelman's fourth Diver of the Week honor this season.

RPI, which is currently 20th in the most recent national CSCAA/TYR Poll and sixth in the Northeast-North region, is a perfect 6-0 with a first place finish at the Kumpf Invitational along with a fourth place finish at the MIT Invitational.

The Engineers are set to travel to Skidmore on Saturday afternoon for a dual meet with the Thoroughbreds. Events begin at 1pm.
