Jessica Kugelman of RPI Swimming & Diving Earns Weekly Award

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Jessica Kugelman of Tappan 10983 has earned a weekly award from the Liberty League for an outstanding performance in the pool.

In the Upstate New York State Collegiate Swimming Association Championship (UNYSCSA) Meet, Kugelman (Tappan Zee HS) finished fourth from the 3-meter diving board and fifth from 1-meter. She compiled 440.10 points in the preliminary round of the 3-meter and then set the school record with 489.40 points in the final to finish fourth of 20 competitors. She then had 454.45 points in the 1-meter final to finish fifth of 23 divers. Kugelman had 459 points in the 1-meter prelims. The Engineers finished second in the meet, which had 15 schools. Kugelman now has six weekly awards to her credit, including this week's Diver of the Week. She has now been Diver of the Week three times and Rookie of the Week on three occasions.
